Abstract

The goal of this text is to support occupational therapy practitioners and occupational therapy students to expand their knowledge and readiness to confidently practice in cancer rehabilitation settings, whether it be an academic medical center, community-based rehabilitation setting, elementary school, worksite, or the home. This text can also be a valuable resource for those designing cancer rehabilitation programs along the cancer care continuum, beginning with primary and secondary prevention, through acute and medically complex settings to survivorship or end-of-life care. It seeks to provide occupational therapy practitioners with practical, up-to-date evidence that will prepare them to design comprehensive cancer rehabilitation interventions and to understand when additional advanced information and training on specific techniques is necessary.
