Abstract
Whether in a research, education, or practice setting, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and students can face complex ethical problems at various levels. They have an obligation to demonstrate ethical conduct that reflects professional values when working with clients, families, caregivers, administrators, colleagues, policymakers, payers, and other health care professionals.
This book, updated to reflect the 2015 Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Enforcement Procedures, includes new advisory opinions and articles that address ethical trends issues and trends such as plagiarism, international service learning, collaborative ethics, social justice, and social networking. Tools and resources provide the foundation of professional values and ethical reasoning to guide complex ethical dilemmas and positively affect those served by occupational therapy.
